Since 1879.
In 1879, several committed Christian families in a rural South Carolina community founded a new congregation — a spiritual home for themselves and their covenant children. More than 145 years later, the members of New Harmony are still serving Jesus Christ, loving each other, and reaching out to the world.
"We are living stones in His temple. We are His workmanship. The mortar which holds us together as a building of God is that mutual love and esteem which Christ commanded us to have for each other."
— Dr. Gordon K. Reed, former pastor
